We are the official UK distributor for DIY Detail. DIY Detail was born out of passion and enthusiasm for detailing. Founders Nick McGurk and Yvan Lacroix met at a training session in 2019 and had an instant connection.
Nick ran his own detailing company called Hawk Pro Detailing, and subsequently amassed a large following through his Youtube videos.
Yvan has over 40 years of experience in the detailing and car care industry having worked for Lake Country Manufacturing, Opti-Coat and Optimum Polymer Technologies, while also being the founder of the Répare-Brise franchises.
Following their first meeting, Yvan agreed to appear on Nick’s Youtube channel and viewers could see great chemistry between the duo and their back-and-forth approach to teaching and understanding detailing.
The pair stayed in touch and decided to create a brand together. A line of detailing products was developed. During development Nick said to Yvan that he wanted to create a range that was so easy to use he could show his Dad how to use it. Soon after the DIY Detail range was released – a line of products that are easy enough for anyone to use while providing results that even the pickiest professional can be proud of.
